Shasta County Office of Education Classified Grant: The California Classified School Employee Teacher Credentialing Grant Program (Classified Grant) supports classified employees in earning a preliminary California PK-3 ECE Specialist Instruction, Multiple Subject, Single Subject, or Education Specialist teaching credential. The Classified Grant is available to help complete a bachelor’s degree and/or teacher preparation program.
Early Education Teacher Development (EETD) Grant: The Shasta County Office of Education offers scholarships for Early Learning and Care teachers and assistants, and credentialed Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Teachers working toward child development permits, ECE units, Multiple Subject Teaching Credentials, or PK-3 Early Childhood Education Teaching Credentials at accredited community colleges or universities. This scholarship is for Shasta County residents and the application for 2025-26 is here.
Quality Counts North State Scholarship: For students working toward a degree or certificate in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or a closely related field. You must be participating in Quality Counts North State to be eligible for this grant.
TEACH Grant Program: For students enrolled in an eligible program of study at a participating school.
Cal Grant: Helps classified school employees in California pursue a bachelor's degree and teaching credential. It doesn't need to be paid back.
California Community College Promise Grant; Waives enrollment fees.
Golden State Teacher Grant (GSTG): For students working toward a preliminary teaching or pupil personnel services credential.
California State University Grants: Numerous grants for California State University students.
Middle Class Scholarship: Funds for low- to middle-income students to attend a University of California, California State University, or California Community College bachelor's degree program.
California for All College Corps: Debt-free pathways to college.
